Asbestos Lung Cancer :

Asbestos exposure can lead to serious health conditions such as lung cancer. The consequences are indeed grave, especially as in most instances, the victims are not forewarned about the dangers that asbestos poses to them. Lung cancer, that is the cancer that you can get from being exposed to asbestos, is indeed serious enough to warrant hiring an asbestos attorney to handle your case. Becoming a victim of asbestos related diseases like lung cancer will mean serious financial as well as medical consequences for which only an asbestos attorney will be able to provide correct legal guidance.
When people were becoming affected with asbestos diseases such as lung cancer and the like, in the 1980s as well as 90s, a number of asbestos litigations were being filed, which led to the state governments in many states passing amendments as well as reform bills to deal with the situation.

An asbestos-related lung cancer victim must engage an asbestos attorney as early as possible after being affected by asbestos in order that his or her case is filed in the court before the statue of limitation imposed by the state expires.
Asbestos lung cancer is a disease in which abnormal (malignant) lung cells divide without control. These cancerous cells can invade nearby tissues and/or spread to other parts of the body. There are two major kinds of asbestos lung cancer: non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. Non-small cell asbestos lung cancer is the most common kind.
How would I know that I am suffering from asbestos lung cancer?
Early signs of asbestos lung cancer can be easy to overlook. Often people with early lung cancer just say they don't have much energy.
Some common signs of asbestos lung cancer include:
· trouble breathing · shortness of breath · feeling like you're not getting enough air · a decreased ability to exercise · a cough that won't go away · coughing up blood or mucus · pain or discomfort when breathing in or out
What causes asbestos lung cancer?
There are many known causes of asbestos lung cancer .Still, the causes of many asbestos lung cancers are still not known. Some known causes of asbestos lung cancer include:
· Smoking. Smoke from cigarettes, cigars and pipes is the number one cause of lung disease. So the best thing you can do to reduce your risk of lung disease is to stop smoking. If you live or work with a smoker, it is also very important to steer clear of second hand smoke. Ask the person to smoke outdoors.
· Radon gas. Radon gas is the second leading cause of asbestos lung cancer. Radon is naturally present in soil and rocks. You can check your home for radon with a kit bought at many hardware stores.
· Asbestos. Asbestos is natural fiber that comes from minerals. The fibers break apart easily into tiny pieces that can float in the air and stick to things. If a person inhales asbestos particles, they can stick to their lungs. Asbestos harms lungs cells which may lead to lung cancer.
· Air Pollution. Recent studies suggest that some air pollutants like car exhaust may contribute to asthma, lung cancer, and other lung disease. But doctors still do not fully understand the link between pollution and lung disease
